Fr. Adam Ryan, OSB

Fr Adam Ryan is a monk of Conception Abbey in northwest Missouri.  In 1978, after classical studies at the University of Illinois he entered the monastery and professed monastic vows in 1979.  He has served in a variety of positions at Conception Abbey. After theological studies at Sant’Anselmo, the Benedictine university in Rome he was ordained to the ministerial priesthood in 1990. In 2004 Fr Adam completed a M.A. at Creighton University, specializing in Christian spirituality. Currently he is Development Director and choirmaster at Conception Abbey and teaches Biblical Greek in Conception Seminary College In addition, Fr Adam has devoted much time to spiritual direction and to retreat work for individuals and groups who come to Conception and to retreat work with diocesan priests, religious communities and parishes.
